Lent Course - Session 3 - Discover the Amazing Depths of God's Extravagant Love
Wednesday, 10 March 2010, 7:30pm - 9:00pm
This repeat is an exception to the normal repeat pattern
Discover the Amazing Depths of God's Extravagant Love

In six captivating sessions, pastor and New York Times bestselling author Timothy Keller opens your eyes to the powerful message of Jesus' best-known - and least understood - parable: The Parable of the Prodigal Son.
Dr Keller is the founder and senior pastor of a Presbyterian Church in New York. He helps you and your small group or church glean insights from each of the characters in Jesus' parable; the irreligious younger son, the moralistic elder son, and the Father who lavishes his love on both.

Wednesdays at 7:30pm

Session Titles

24 February, The Parable
3 March, The People Around Jesus
10 March, The Two Lost Sons
17 March, The Elder Brother
24 March, The True Elder Brother
31 March, The Feast of the Father

The way that the course will work is that a DVD by Tim Keller will be shown on the first evening, followed by a group discussion. In each of the following weeks there will be a DVD clip (2 minutes) followed by some input by Mike or Stephen and then the discussion groups. We hope to have copies of the book by Tim Keller - The Prodigal God - on sale.

Lent will begin with a special services of Ash Wednesday 17 February at 9:30am and 7:30pm

Please indicate on the form at the back of the church that you would like to participate in this course.
