St Andrew's Home Fellowship Group

It is the goal at St Andrew’s that every member belongs to a fellowship group. At present we have 10 groups that meet regularly. Some have existed for years and others have been formed recently. The subject matter varies widely. Some study books of the Bible; others use the wide range of material available; others consider the readings for the next Sunday; some undertake projects.

Notwithstanding this variety, each group has in common that its members are growing in friendship and love, enjoying learning more and growing in confidence in discipleship. The groups are dispersed widely in our area and meet at different times and on different days/nights.

Join a Home Group

Keep your hearts and minds in the knowledge and love of God

This familiar prayer exhorts us not only to be receptive of but also to pursue actively that love and knowledge of God. Growing numbers are deriving great benefit from sharing faith with fellow-Christians and improving our knowledge and love of God in small home groups, often by studying Scriptture, or perhaps by considering the theme of the forthcoming Sunday's sermon.

We meet every Wednesday evening at 7:30pm for good coffee and study. We investigate different themes or books of the Bible and finish at 9pm. We have great fellowship and often have yummy biscuits. Bergvliet Bible Study

This takes place in the home of Sheena Mann on Wednesday evenings at 19h30.

We plan various short study sessions – approximately 4-6 weeks per study topic. A variety of study material is used including the Guides set by Mike following the Sunday's sermon. Much discussion takes place with reference to books and to our lives.

Tuesday Bible Study Group

A very informal group that meets at homes of the members between 10h00 and 12h00 for Study, Prayer and Fellowship. Tea features as part of the fellowship. For further details phone Steph Saunders at 021 674 1518

St Andrew’s aims to be a loving, worshipping Christian community which encourages everyone to follow Christ as disciples through being obedient to His Word and Spirit, and as a result taking God’s love to the local community, to the poor, the needy and the world.
